Privacy Policy

Effective October 29, 2026

DeckTerm is an SSH terminal for iPhone. It collects no personal data. This policy explains what the app keeps on your phone, what leaves it, and how this website and support email work.

In short

What stays on your phone

Everything the app stores is kept on your iPhone:

None of this is sent to the developer or anyone else. The only network connections the app makes are the SSH connections you start, and App Store purchases handled by Apple.

Backups you make

You can export a backup file that holds your devices, pinned host key fingerprints, theme, font and snippets. Passwords and the private key are never included. Exporting is always your decision, and where the file goes (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop or anywhere else) is your choice. Once saved there, the file is handled under that service's terms. The developer never receives it.

Apple device backups

Apple's own iCloud or computer backups of your iPhone may include the app's settings, under Apple's terms. Keychain items marked this-device-only cannot be restored to a different phone.

Tips

The optional tips are In-App Purchases processed by Apple. The developer never sees your name, payment details or Apple ID, and only receives Apple's aggregate sales reports.

Local network permission

iOS may ask to let DeckTerm find devices on your local network. This is used only to reach SSH servers on your network that you add.

This website

deckterm.cobanov.dev is a static site hosted on Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics, third-party scripts or third-party fonts. Cloudflare may process visitors' IP addresses in its logs to deliver and protect the site, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Support email

If you write to deckterm@cobanov.dev, your message and address are used only to reply to you. Mail to that address is forwarded to and stored in a Gmail inbox, provided by Google. You can ask for your messages to be deleted at any time.

Children

DeckTerm collects nothing from anyone, children included.

Your rights

You have rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), including access, correction and deletion. Since the developer holds no data about you beyond any support emails you send, write to deckterm@cobanov.dev for any request.
